Acme Bread Company

Berkeley, 2023

Acme Bread Company, one of the Bay Area’s iconic companies, engaged Trachtenberg Architects to design their new bakery in Berkeley.  Acme purchased two adjacent buildings on busy San Pablo Avenue and Trachtenberg Architects designed a new project that renovates one existing structure for use as a wholesale bakery and adds a new two-story structure that will provide space for retail sales and a cafe that opens up to a lovely shaded central courtyard.
