Shattuck Square Micro Studios

Berkeley, 2019

Shattuck Square is currently being reviewed for Zoning Approvals.

The project, consisting of 48 studio apartments is located one block from the UC Berkeley campus on a tiny 3,700 sf lot in downtown Berkeley. At an astonishing 570 units per acre, the project is a study in efficient urban development.

The studio units range from 350sf to 427sf and all furnishings will be custom design and built-in so as to make the best possible use of the available space.

A landscaped rooftop garden for residents will have views of the campus to the east and towards the San Francisco Bay to the west.

The building seeks to set a new standard for the development of high-density housing in the downtown area. The building is being designed to LEED Gold standards.

The project is expected to commence construction in 2020.
